WTF: Yes to Pole Dancing No to Reading

Ok, Ok, I admit it. I have, on occasion, rocked out to Party In The USA by Miley Cyrus.

I know it is wrong. So very, very wrong. My excuse... my 3-year-old son loves it. He even asks for it by name and I can't refuse his cute face. He especially likes the part about the taxicab. You know the part:

Get to the club in my taxicab and everybody's looking at me now

Ooops, I should not have written that. Now you know I have listened to it enough to know the words.

So busted.

You could call Miley a triple threat. No, I'm not talking about the singer, dancer, actress kind of triple threat. I mean the dumb, famous and self-important kind of triple threat.

She is a threat to teenage girls everywhere. Did you see her pole dancing at the Teen Choice Awards? Fab, since then, 16-year-old girls everywhere have been flocking to enroll in pole dancing classes. Just what the world needs, more teenage pole dancers.

Role model this girl is not.

Miley also likes to share her dumb-ass opinions. Her most recent opinion is about Twilight. She hates it. She says she will never watch it, won't read the books, she doesn't want to talk about it because she doesn't believe in the hype.

I have to give her a smack kudos for having her own opinion but, it leaves me wondering... why does a girl just shy of her 17th birthday like pole dancing and not Twilight??

I mean seriously, what is more age appropriate?

WTF?

We get it Miley, you need time to hone your pole dancing skills, you don't have time to read.

I don't think she is stupid just because she doesn't like twilight... What if she reads OTHER books? And also I saw the choice awards and I don't think that she was actually pole dancing... From what I saw she was just holding on to it. She wasn't like grinding on it...

I love that we can break down the pole dancing. She wasn't actually grinding on it she was just holding it.

That made me smile cause it's true. I still think I would have vetoed that dance if I were her parent.

I am sure she reads. I'm just bugging ;). I totally dissed Twilight before too. But it was because I was busy reading Dickinson, Tolstoy and Hemingway.

I wonder if Miley ever cracked Anna Karenina?
