Market to Me With (Good) Music Any Day

I am a Mother which means, that my life is not synonymous with glamour... not at all. I wish I could tell you that I spend my evenings clinking glasses and dancing well into the night but alas, I don't.

The truth is, every evening until 7:30pm, I am on duty and answer to the name slave Mommy. Like most parents, Hubby and I run around fulfilling every need of our two small children and then, once they are in bed, we generally fall to the couch in exhaustion. Sometimes, I can muster enough energy to take a run but, other than that, I just sit and try to relax so I can start the routine over again the next day.

Post 7:30pm, you can typically find me in a zombie like, exhaustion induced, autopilot like haze; my mind knows it has little precious, undisturbed time and it greedily devours every activity it possibly can giving each much less than full attention.

Some of my evening activities include: watching TV, reading a magazine, surfing the web, reading a book, listening to music, folding laundry, writing my blog and, no joke, much to the annoyance of my Husband,  I am usually doing at least three of those things simultaneously. I absolutely cannot do just one thing, it seems boring and a waste of precious time.

The other evening I was chilling on the couch, with my Macbook, while the TV was on and miraculously, my attention was wholly captured.  A commercial had come on and the song was so catchy, that I could not help bobbing my head to it. I immediately had to Google it and find out the song, I had to have it! I found it, downloaded it and it is already a favorite work-out tune on my iPod.

Even though I really hate commercials, I have to admit that I appreciate commercials that employ awesome music for branding and marketing. I thought I would pay homage to some of the best songs I can think of from commercials. I am not going to say what companies used them but, because they marketed to us so well, I bet you are able to take a guess.

There are so many more but, I can't possibly post them all. Do you have any favourites???
